The Challenge
Traditional reminders are time-based, but many tasks are more naturally tied to location, such as remembering an errand only when passing a particular store or area. Laststop set out to build reminders around this location-based logic.
Delivering this reliably required accurate geofencing, detecting when a user entered a relevant area, combined with local inventory identification to make reminders genuinely useful rather than generic location pings.
Laststop needed this functionality built into a mobile application deployed across both major platforms, with dependable background location tracking that didn’t drain battery life or compromise user experience.
What did
Assystant do
Assystant built Laststop’s mobile application using React Native, Firebase, and Node, integrating with Radar.com for geofencing and local inventory identification.
- Built a mobile application supporting location-based task reminders
- Integrated Radar.com for reliable geofencing functionality
- Enabled local inventory identification to make reminders more relevant
- Deployed the application on both the Play Store and App Store
This combination let Laststop remind users of tasks precisely when and where those tasks were actually relevant, rather than relying on generic time-based alerts.
The Results
- Delivered a location-based task reminder application
- Integrated reliable geofencing through Radar.com
- Enabled relevant, location-specific inventory identification
- Deployed on both major mobile app stores
- Improved how users manage location-dependent tasks
