The Challenge
Farmers needed a faster, more reliable way to identify pests and infections affecting their crops than relying on manual inspection alone. AgriAI wanted to solve this by predicting crop health directly from photos farmers could capture themselves.
Turning this vision into reality required three tightly coordinated components: an AI algorithm capable of accurately analyzing crop images, an administrative web platform for managing data and insights, and a mobile application simple enough for farmers to use directly from their smartphones.
Each piece depended on the others working correctly. An accurate AI model would be of limited use without an intuitive way for farmers to submit images and for administrators to act on the resulting insights.
What did
Assystant do
Assystant developed AgriAI’s AI algorithm alongside its web and mobile applications, using Node.js, Angular, Firebase, Google Cloud Platform, MongoDB, and Python, and provided UI/UX consultation throughout.
- Built a sophisticated AI algorithm to analyze crop images for pests and infections
- Developed an intuitive web application for administrators to manage data and insights
- Built a farmer-facing mobile application integrated directly with the AI algorithm
- Provided UI/UX consultation to ensure a seamless experience across both applications
Assystant played a central role in realizing AgriAI’s vision, developing the AI algorithm while designing and implementing both the web and mobile applications end to end.
The Results
- Strengthened farmer decision-making through AI-driven insights
- Delivered a fully integrated AI, web, and mobile solution
- Contributed directly to AgriAI’s business growth and success
- Enabled farmers to identify pests and infections from simple photo uploads
- AgriAI was later acquired by Koppert Global, a leading agriculture company
