Data enrichment, the process of enhancing existing customer records with additional information, is inherently sensitive from a data protection standpoint. EinMalek needed to offer this capability to its customers while remaining fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Balancing rich data enrichment functionality against GDPR requirements meant every part of the feature had to be designed with compliance in mind from the start, not adjusted afterward. This made the enrichment feature considerably more complex than a standard CRM add-on.
EinMalek needed a technology partner who understood both CRM application development and the practical implications of GDPR on how customer data could be collected, enriched, and stored.
