BookAR was built for a well-established university in the UK’s higher education sector. The university sought a new way to give students an immersive learning experience through augmented reality.

The Challenge
Traditional learning materials can only convey so much about certain subjects. The university wanted to give students a more immersive way to experience course content, one that went beyond textbooks and lecture slides.
Delivering an augmented reality experience meant developing both mobile and web components capable of rendering AR content reliably across a range of student devices, a technically demanding requirement for an education-focused application.
The university needed the application deployed properly across both major mobile platforms so that as many students as possible could access the augmented reality experience without technical barriers.
